Pakistan Cricket team became new T20 World Champions after winning the final match which held between teams of Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This Way the also the second T20 world cup also came in Asia. Two years back in 2007 Pakistan was reached into the final match against India but they had lost the match by very less margin.
In yesterday’s match again Shahid Afridi’s sensible batting have played the tremendous role. Unlike his normal batting style of always trying for big hits from his last two innings he is doing very well, by just having ones and twos and sixes only when required. This is not his usual style for batting. In bowling also shahid and Umer gul done well. Also team effort of Pakistani cricket team made them the first time World champions for T20 World cup.
Pakistan Also reached in finals in style by having a great victory against South Africa. South Africa was being referred to the favorites to win this T20 championship. So Pakistan’s victory against them was also a big upset.
This victory was very important when specially the home security conditions are not good and no cricket team is playing by coming in Pakistan. Due to these problems Pakistan cricket team was having very less opportunities of Playing international cricket. Despite that this victory proves that even though they are not getting any chances to play but the standard is not gone down, its still up to the mark or even better.
The Defending champion India didn’t even got a chance to play the semi-finals this time and had to fly back india on early stages.
Pakistan is now T20 Champ for next two years untill the next T2o worldcup. Hope to win all upcoming championships. 🙂
