Spring Holidays in Islamabad announced for 2023

On the commencement of the new academic session 2023 – 24 a notification has been issued by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) about the spring break. This notification is issued on March 29, 2023. According to this notification Spring Break in all schools and colleges shall be observed in the last week of Ramadan i-e from April 17, 2023 to April 20, 2023, due to priority tasks pertaining to the paper marking of Centralized Annual Examination for class 5th and 8th Admission / Registration process and pre-board exams of SSC and HSSC. Government of Pakistan reviews the petrol and high speed diesel prices in every 15 days. So on the every 1st and 16th of the month the new petrol and diesel prices are set. These new prices are in accordance with and to compensate with international crude oil prices. However, many other factors like govt taxes play a role in finalized prices. No cheap fuel for the bikes and small cars, says IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) have raised concern about the cheap fuel scheme, which government was planning to go ahead with. According to IMF representative in Pakistan, the government of Pakistan have not done any consultation about the scheme with IMF. Also IMF have rejected the initial proposal of scheme by Govt of Pakistan.
