As per usual schedule of every 15 days, on the start of Sep 2024, Govt of Pakistan have once set new prices for petrol and diesel. Prices of both petroleum products as well as the Kerosene oil prices have gone down. The change in prices is however not significant. Specially petrol price have gone down by mere Rs. 1.86 while the high speed diesel price have gone down by Rs. 3.86 per litre.
Full details of old and new prices of petroleum products in Pakistani Rupee (PKR) are as follows.

These new prices of four regulated petroleum products, listed above, will be applicable from Sep 1 to Sep 15, 2024. Then again new the prices will be announced for the second half of September 2024.
After every fifteen days, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) calculates the new prices of four regulated petroleum products based on current taxes in country on these products and based on the Crude oil prices in international markets. Then these new prices are sent to petroleum ministry for approval. After petroleum ministry makes any changes or approves the prices prices as they are, they are notified and made applicable throughout the country.
