Its now many years that Pakistan banks are offering Debits and Specially credit cards which are mostly backed with global names like Visa or Master Card. Most of them can be used here in Pakistan on POS terminals, they do work online as well but there are huge limitations when people try to use these cards online. Specially with debit cards, no doubt they features Visa or Master Card logos but most of Pakistani bank except few exceptions don’t allow their usage online. The case of Credit Cards is bit different most Pakistani banks allow usage of their credit cards online but again there are limitation or bans from specific websites which would not accept a specific card from specific country, based on their previous experiences. Plus not everyone qualify to have a credit card, some people don’t want it due to high interests.
To make long story short we would be adding here experiences of real people from Pakistan, specifically about paying on Facebook from Pakistan. In the effort to know the workable methods to pay on Facebook from Pakistan I will tell you my story and then would expect people to share theirs in comments below, which later would be part of our list of methods to Pay on Facebook from Pakistan, not the claims of banks but the experiences of real people.
My Experience: Payment on Facebook using MCB Lite mobile account prepaid visa cardFrom like ages I was in search of payment method to pay on Facebook.com from Pakistan, mean while I had two bank accounts, first the HBL with its Visa backed Debit/ATM card and second one Meezan bank account and its Visa backed Debit/ATM card. Both of them can be used on POS with visa support but on inquiring with both banks they are not usable online.
I am not very fond of credit cards, my interest more lies in cards like Debit cards with account prepaid cards, though I had applied for a credit card once with a bank and got rejected, not really tried with another bank.
Then again coming back to topic, recently i opted in for Visa backed MCB LIte Mobile account. This is basically designed to make payments via mobile to another number but what attracted me was that it comes with a Card with visa logo which is usable online. So I finally applied and got the MCB Lite account.
To use MCB Lite card online you need to first have enough balance in your mcb lite account which you can load via visiting mcb bank or using Inter Bank Transfer from your bank account. Secondly to use it online you need to call MCB bank and activate the session, this is good safety feature, you decide the period of session, it could be hour or a day or month or even it may be activated for forever.
So for the first payment I activated the session for limited period of few days and used this card on Facebook. It worked like charm, so now I have something which enables me to pay online. Currency exchange rate I am getting is bit higher about 3 rupees higher than what Google will tell you when you search on it the term “1 USD to PKR”, but still I guess this is about standard for all Pakistani banks, any other bank would have charged me similar rates.
So if you get MCB Lite visa card and plan to use it on Facebook for advertising or any other purpose, do remember to activate it at least for duration your ad is running including the date end of current month and few days of next, as Facebook charges you with remaining amount on end of month.
While I am really happy with MCB Lite for payments on Facebook, I would like to explore more methods to pay on Facebook which real people from Pakistan have used and would like to share with others here. In billing address you can give any address, its not mandatory that its already registered with bank. You can just provide your home address.
As you try to add a payment method, it charges you $1 USD in advance which will later be used in wherever you want to spend money on Facebook. So make sure your internet session is activated when you add your payment details. Plus facebook charges you when e.g. you have first spent $25 then next on when you spent $50 starting from zero. If none of these thresholds are reached in month it charges you spent amount on end of month. So make sure you have your internet session activated for long time, specially when its expected that fb have to charge you money.
when entering details make sure you are entering correct cvv number its 3 digit code found on back of your visa card.
what about wiz card do it work for facebook payment system

I am using SCB credit card and it was working fine for 2-3 months. But suddenly after eid my account stop working with message some “Unusual Activity” on my account and my account is blocked for ad and the card I cannot use with any other account.

Hey. Whats the time frame of getting a new Lite card? Need to pay quiackly. Just promoted a page on facebook but it’s paused now as my Standard Chartered Debit Card isn’t getting through.
It just takes 7 days max to receive the MCB lite pack at your home, as soon as you have the pack, just quickly visit a branch of MCB and after registering there, your lite account will be activated in just an hour.
Have you been running any ad campaigns on FB? Its working fine for them??
Yeah I have been running campaigns using MCB lIte and it works like charm. What I learned from experience is that its better to activate the online session for forever, as FB can charge you any time again. Plus you must always have some amount kept in your card.
What I hate is that to load card I need to visit bank always, as I am not MCB customer in terms of my normal account and only mcb account holders can put money into lite account online or via atm.

You just need to fill an online form with your name, email and phone number and they will contact you for further details. A package will than be delivered to your address, You will need to take that to any nearest mcb branch to get process completed.

WIZZ CARD IS WORKABLE ON FACEBOOK?
I added my wizz card details with Facebook it was done, i purchased
advirtsing there and it start runing but later its in my account its
displayed that tehre is error in charging your card update your card or
replace it with other, i updated my wizz card information there properly
once and and same things come ,, error in charging.. i repeat it many
times but each times its is refusing. i m really upset whats going on….

Make sure you have correctly entered the cvv code. its 3 digit code on back of all cards, its on back of visa card.
Plus, also try calling UBL to make sure your UBL Wizz card have online session activated. Actually after they have activated the session then facebook will be able to charge money from your card.
Also Facebook randomly keeps charging your card (the money spent), so make sure your session is activated for long time, at least the duration your ads are running and even the month after that.
For all that you need to call UBL Helpline.

ubl wiz internet card cannot be used on google or yahoo or facebook or online , i have tried it my self, it is just a waste of time also mcb lite card did not work , what i have found that there nature is debit card and debit card will not work for internet payment , iam telling you this by my experience dont waste your time and money on prepaid debit cards they are just misadvertising.
mcb lite card is lying around in my cupboard for months. its not easy to get it activated and most branches dont know about this service, MCB is full of retards. getting this card activated is like going on war and now i need facebook advertising. will go to their lite office in few days to activate it.
Standard Chartered and summit banks cards are also not accepting on fb
