Federal Board announced the 2023 matric exams date sheet for 9th and 10th

Annual secondary school (SSC) exams are going to be held by the Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education. The government has decided to complete the examination process before summer vacations. So the date sheet for the annual exams of Secondary School Certificate (SSC part I and II) has been announced by the FBISE. These exams are also most commonly referred as Matric exams or 9th and 10 class exams.

FBISE SSC (Part I & II) Exam Dates

Federal board matric exams will start and end on the following dates.

The examination date sheet is similar for the compulsory and optional subjects for boys and girls. Roll Number slips for both the regular and private students will be dispatched soon. Students can follow different model papers for exam preparation.

According to the notification the time schedule to be followed by the students during Federal Board matric examination is as follows.

Passing percentage increased by FBISE

Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) have increased the percentage of passing marks required to pass a subject. Earlier, you needed to get 33% marks to pass a subject, however, now FBISE have increased this percentage to 40%. New Grading System instead of Marks

FBISE have introduced a new grading system which will replace the marks. So results of all subjects will be announced in letter grade, GPA and CGPA. Starting this year, 2023, this system will start to integrate in the results of Federal Board exams and by 2025, it will totally replace the absolute marks on the result card. So result will not include the marks, instead it will have letter grade and GPA for each subject. Also for total result as well CGPA will replace the marks.
