NEPRA approved Rs. 5.80 per unit increase in Power charges and amount under review by Ministry of Electric and Power Pakistan

Recently the National Electric and Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) shocked the nation as soon as it approved the Rs. 5.80 increase in Power tariff. As soon as ministry got the recommendation by the authority, they have decided not to fully put the load at people at the time. So the new price is under review. Electricity rates will still increase but they may not be sudden increase of Rs. 5.80. Now this increase is under review by Ministry of water and power, they may decide to hold back a portion of this increase and save people from further problems. The two days of elections were electrifying for nation as on two election days the uninterrupted supply of electricity was provided to the nation, many people seem happy that just two day, but they got some time with uninterrupted supply of electricity. Now elections are long gone and nation is back into the worst of darkness again. Electricity Load shedding gone worse in Pakistan as the caretaker government took over the country

Now a days people of Pakistan specially Punjab are facing the worst electricity load shedding of history comprising more than 12 hours daily. This is due to the worst performance of previous government. They have done noting to solve the country’s biggest problem, which is shortage of electricity. Things were even better before the previous government of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and gone worse due to non payment of fuel to the stakeholders providing fuel to electricity generators. CNG Load shedding continues even in off peak season in Pakistan, who is responsible

As winters are long gone and we are well into the summer season. Which means the house hold demand of Natural Gas is at its lowest. On other hand CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) load management plan which was introduced in peak season is still applicable without any change. CNG which is environment friendly and is much cheaper than Petrol (Gasoline) and Diesel, and also is preference of most of vehicle owners in Pakistan. CNG Association and Transporters have called the strike off with immidiate effect

CNG Associtation and transporters of Pakistan were on strike from last two days against the CNG Prices hike and unavailability of CNG fuel due to so called load Management plan, which was causing outage of CNG fuel for transporters for half week. Now, negotiation between CNG association/transporters and department of Petroleum and Natural Resources have been successful. In turn the CNG Association and transporters have called the strike off. Prices are CNG are not yet reviewed to make a decrease but public transporters will be given CNG fuel in off days of week as well for 8 hours in a day.
