Today match 26 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 8 was played between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United. Lahore Qalandars won the toss and they decided to bat first.
Lahore Qalandars Innings
While batting Lahore Qalandars put up a huge total of 226 runs. Fakhar Zaman contributed very valuable 115 runs to the total. He made this contribution with the help of 8 sixes and 8 fours on just 57 balls in total. It was very much necessary as Lahore Qalandars had lost their first wicket on overall score of 3, as Abdullah Shafique had departed on just 3 runs. Fakhar Zaman also won the energetic batter of the match and player of the match titles and trophies.
Kamran Ghulam scored 41 runs on 30 balls while Sam Billings scored 32 on just 22 balls. Rashid Khan also scored 15 while he remained not out. Overall, 5 wickets were lost, while Lahore Qalandars set up the target of 227 runs for Islamabad United to chase.
From Islamabad United bowling attack, Fazalhaq Farooqi took three wickets while Hasan Ali and Muhammad Wasim took one wicket each.
Islamabad United Innings
From Islamabad United batting lineup now one reached even 20 runs. In fact top score from Islamabad United was 18 runs. Both Alex Hales and Hasan Ali scored 18 runs each. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 15 while captain Shadab Khan scored 12 runs.
Rashid Khan was most successful bowler from Lahore Qalandars. He took 4 wickets in his 4 overs and gave just 21 runs. Zaman Khan took two wickets while Haris Rauf took 2 wickets and David Weise took 1 wicket.
Match Summary
Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat first. While batting they set the target of 227 runs for Islamabad United to chase and win. However, Islamabad United was not able to chase the target and all team got out after scoring just 107 runs with 29 balls remaining. Lahore Qalandars won against Islamabad united by huge 119 runs, the biggest margin of history in any PSL season ever.

PSL 8 Team Standings after Match 26
Lahore Qalandars remain on top of tournament standings, with 7 out of 9 matches won. Islamabad United is just behind them with 6 out of 9 matches won. Top four teams will qualify to the playoffs and before playoffs every team have to play 10 matches. So four teams on top have best of chances. Infact Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United have already qualified and Karachi Kings have already lost any chances of going forward to next stage.
