CNG stations strike in Punjab continues for indefinite period

April 2011 a strike was called by the president of CNG association and came into affect from 13th of April 2011. The reason for CNG stations to go on strike was insufficient supply of gas from SUI Northern Gas Company Limited. This insufficient supply of gas from SUI Northern Gas Company is shocking because we are into the season where gas consumption is lowest of the years. As most of house hold consumption like Room and Water heaters go down in this season, so that provides considerable decrease in daily gas usage. Petition in supreme court against dissolution of HEC

Higher Education Commission HEC is set to be dissolved by government of Pakistan under the 18th amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan. The decision is unjust as commission is doing too well for development of higher education and research in Pakistan. Students and teachers from leading universities of Pakistan are constantly opposing but Government is not rethinking over the issue for now. Latest update is that finally the decision have be challenged in Supreme court of Pakistan. The petition against the decision came from University of Lahore along with few others. India qualified to the final on 3oth march by winning from Pakistan and Sri Lanka made it to the final by winning from England a day before.
